Help or Exploit the unemployed.

Chris Colin of the San Francisco Chronicle got in touch with Crunch Victims.

He has written an interesting column on the SFGate called “Unemployed? Tell me where it hurts“.  It’s about a new batch of entrepreneurs trying to help — or in some cases exploit — the unemployed.

Chris goes onto question all these new ventures, new consultants, coaches, advisor’s, experts and others determined to address that need. Can the recently laid off really support such businesses? Where does a business draw the line between helping the unemployed and possibly taking advantage of their desperation?

Definitely a good read and it got me thinking about websites that are following the recession and all the job losses, the unemployment records, layoffs etc, and almost all of them are trying to make a buck by showing adverts or Google banners or adverts selling stuff relating to the content they are publishing. As if the unemployed or the recently sacked person is going to visit their site to buy something… chuckle chuckle!!!
