Computer giant IBM to lay off another 5000 employees.
Starting today (Thursday), 5000 or so employees will be laid off at IBM. The cuts are to take place in the US Global Business Services Unit, which is responsible for outsourcing and consulting services. These are the biggest departments at IBM. This follows the 4600 people that were made redundant in January.
Total losses = 5000
