Spot the Crunch Victims today at Aintree?

Whether you are a crunch victim today or not, problems aside, people are betting millions of pounds today on the Grand National. It’s a horse race held every year over three days in April, with the Grand National race itself at 4.15pm on the final day of the meeting.

According to ITV.com,

Bookmakers believe punters will ignore the credit crunch and have their annual flutter on the Grand National.
It’s thought the public’s spending spree on the big race at Aintree on Saturday will equal last year’s record-breaking £300 million, with more than 15 million people having a bet.

Sky news reports,

Bookmakers are predicting that betting on the Grand National horse race will defy the credit crunch. Tickets sales are also up on last year and the event is virtually sold out.
Half of the UK’s adult population is expected to place a bet today and turnover could reach £300m.

Even Cruvic has a few bets on and hope the likes of Butlers Cabin, Kilbeggan Blade, Rambling Minster and Offshore Account  can do well.
